OverviewThe Regional Account Manager is responsible for promotions, sales, pricing, and service of products and implementing regional account strategies and plans to drive growth through execution.
Primary Responsibilities Responsible for all assigned sales and profitability goals for mid-size national and regional accounts Establish and maintain relationships with regional buyer Monitor and implement pricing, merchandising, and competitive activity Partner with National, regional, and corporate accounts for fast and effective compliance Provide timely market information to the management team regarding pricing, execution, and market trends Monitor field implementation and execution of national and regional programs to ensure: accurate product pricing, effective discount management, and management of program deadlines Coordinate and monitor ads, in-account menus / features, and activities Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability, replenishment, and distribution and conduct spot checks on inventory and monthly pricing report, wholesale account distribution Track sales dollars and cases on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Identify short and long account opportunities and create plans to leverage products and relationships Coordinate Regional sales calls, vendor meetings Partner with suppliers to identify and prospect account opportunities Assist in monitoring the impact and effectiveness of programs currently in place Provide monthly reports to chain account leadership Additional Primary Responsibilities Must be able to build solid relationships with Suppliers, Sales Departments, Warehouse Managers, Delivery Managers, Sales Reps, and Merchandisers Comprehensive knowledge of products Proficient working knowledge of computerized applications, for example, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email, and specialized business applications software Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussions with all level of management Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of organizational stakeholders Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics Must require little direction or supervision; goal-oriented focused, and assertive Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain a high level of quality output Strong analytical, leadership and verbal/written communication skills Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Five years of relevant experience Must possess a valid driver license and secure and maintain auto-liability insurance by state laws Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed Must be 21 years of age Physical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time may include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs
