Overview Gallagher Bassett Technical Services a division of Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified e professional to become a valued member of our Construction Site Safety Operations team. The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of an active roadway constructions site utility work team. The candidate must also be able to identify recognizable safety hazards, provide safety monitoring for the project and deliver detailed daily reports on time. Salary $25 – 30.00/hour How you'll make an impact Position Summary: Position reports to the Director of Safety Field Operations and will be primarily a remote position. Ensure our Clients’ sites perform all required actions and duties as it relates to system safety compliance; fire/ life safety; safety training; required safety certification; emergency procedures, plans and drills; and any other on-site safety/risk management compliance. Experience and understanding of the construction work being performed and all safety, health and security implications related to roadway construction and utility projects. Prepare a daily safety inspection report and related audits for system readiness. Conduct weekly safety meetings, perform site orientations and coordinate contractors and other safety personnel for daily construction activities. About You Required: High school Diploma or GED et.al oriented with effective written and oral communication skills. Computer skills including; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook. Successful completion of the 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health (29 CFR 1926) Course. Valid driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle transportation. Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time (8+ hours per day), lift 50 -60 pounds, good hearing and vision and work in all types of seasonal weather and temperature conditions. Availability on occasion for off-shift and weekend work. Desired: Minimum 2-years of commercial building construction safety related experience. Completion of the 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health (29 CFR 1926) Course. Knowledge of OSHA construction standard regulations and state/local building code/safety regulations Excellent observation skills Bi-lingual or multi-lingual communication skills. Ideal candidate is located in Otsego County, NY or along the Interstate 88 corridor between Albany, NY and Binghamton, NY. Work Traits: Ability to negotiate client properties/work sites including walking, climbing (stairs and ladders), lifting, and standing for long periods. Ability to work independently to deliver on a timely basis with minimal supervision and be prompt. Strong organizational skills to participate in multiple projects tasks simultaneously prioritize assignments and prepare daily inspection reports. Strong understanding of regulatory, professional, and industry standards and practices.
