Community Association Services of Indiana is recruiting a qualified Maintenance Technician in the Michigan City, IN area. This position is on-site at a condominium association. \nVarious maintenance duties depending on work orders received may consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
\n\nInvestigate, analyze, and repair minor electrical problems, including, but not limited to, changing photocells, repairing or replacing common area lights, timers, and telephone entry systems.\nInvestigate, analyze, and repair minor plumbing problems; including, but not limited to, repairing toilets, faucets, irrigation systems, and water softeners. \nInvestigate, analyze, and repair minor carpentry problems; including, but not limited to, repair or replacement of lattice, shutters, screens, siding, cornice, signs, fences, and mailboxes.\nInvestigate, analyze, and repair other regular maintenance items, including, but not limited to, repairing window leaks, plugging holes in buildings, painting, repairing sheetrock, gutters, and downspouts.\nUses cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.\nRemoves garbage from common areas.\nSets up meeting rooms for special events.\nOperates cleaning equipment.\nDrywall experience is a plus. \n\n RequirementsRequirements:
\n\nMinimum one year of experience in different phases of community or property maintenance. \nMust have clean DMV. \nKnowledge in all phases of basic construction and/or maintenance skills is needed.\nUse your own tools, be timely, responsible, and have excellent communication skills.\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office. \nProfessional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).\nProfessional customer service skills.\nKnowledge of business correspondence (grammar, structure, punctuation, spelling, etc.). \nKnowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.\nTime management and time-critical prioritization skills.\n\nWhat we offer:
