Procor Limited manages Canada’s largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. The fleet has grown to include more than 30,500 special purpose tank and freight cars. Procor also operates 27 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food markets.

We have an exciting opportunity for an On Site Supervisor at our K+S Potash Mine in Behune SK.

Coordinates the operations of all production departments in the unit. Ensures that production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions, and customer satisfaction. Reports issues regarding production, quality, maintenance, or personnel problems.

Reporting to the Operations Manager – Mobiles & On-sites, the On-site Supervisor will be responsible for the site’s repair requirements and for ensuring that Procor employees work safely and in a Responsible Care environment. This position is responsible for achieving or exceeding key performance indicators through the optimum performance of the operation and on-site team.

Job Duties:

Managing the operation of facility and the team on-siteProvide leadership and direction to the on-site staff while maintaining a positive and respectful work environmentResponsible for meeting facility production targets while controlling expendituresContinually develop on-site team skills for succession planning to ensure proper staffing levels are maintainedCommunicate with the on-site customer to ensure a continual flow of work for the facility, while maintaining a target back-log of workDevelop and implement initiatives for operational improvement and growthEnforce all safety rules and procedures set by both the company and the customer; ensure employee safety is the top prioritySubmit required metrics and documentation in a timely mannerManage material and inventory in accordance with company targetsDevelop on-site team and ensure appropriate staffing levelsOther related responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Eligible to work in CanadaPost-secondary education is preferred2-3 years of experience leading a team and business acumenExperience in process management, quality assurance, and rail repair are assetsExcellent safety recordKnowledge of working in confined space and working at heightsKnowledge of AAR rules, M1002 and M1003 standards is an assetStrong computer skills including experience with Office 365Adhere to Procor’s health and safety standards (including the Responsible Care policy) and wear the required personal protective equipment for the job in a safe mannerStrong customer focusDetail and quality orientedStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work well while under pressureStrong interpersonal and team building skillsValid driver’s licenseRequirement to travel with overnight staysEntrepreneurial spirit and the ability to identify ways to grow existing customer base as well as services/areas in which to expand
