Are you a skilled IT professional ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role? As a Support Specialist with the Bloomberg On-Site Support (BOS) team in New York, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting Bloomberg clients across the New York Area, with responsibilities ranging from desktop support to complex network troubleshooting, NODE site support and IDF equipment management.
The Role:
Join our dynamic Bloomberg On-Site Support (BOS) team in New York City. As a Support Specialist, you will be based in our headquarter office in NYC, providing onsite support to Bloomberg clients.
We’ll trust you to have the following skills:
3+ Years of relevant experience Onsite Support: Deliver exemplary on-site assistance for the installation and servicing of critical servers, routers, appliances, computers, and IDF equipment. This includes rack and stack of routers, switches, and patching.Order Management and Implementation: Support order management and implementation processes, working closely with clients and the Sales Department.Thrive in a fast paced team, whilst demonstrating adaptability in a constantly evolving environment.Customer Service Focus: Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions, managing tasks such as account management, license activation, and software support.Technical Expertise: Utilize Linux-based platforms proficiently to console into routers for service or new installations. Additionally, troubleshoot issues within both Windows and Mac environments, covering software, hardware, and networking issues.Basic understanding of networking principles including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, and subnetting.Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and consultants in the Western Region to ensure efficient service delivery.Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of all tasks and updates using our proprietary ticketing system.Multitasking: Effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail.

Desktop Support: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across both Mac and PC environments.Mobile Support: Proficient in managing and troubleshooting mobile devices, including Android and iOS platforms.Audio-Visual (AV) Support: Experience in setting up and supporting AV equipment for meetings and presentations.Network & IDF Equipment: Skilled in supporting and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, service, and patching, as well as IDF equipment.Order Management: Capable of managing order processes, from implementation to client delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
