Sentinel is looking for an Onboarding Network Engineer to join our team! As an Onboarding Network Engineer, your primary responsibility is facilitating our customer’s technical transition to Sentinel’s award-winning support services smoothly and without interruption. This will include CCNA level route switch configuration and troubleshooting. Working with internal and external IT resources, you will be responsible to ensure the client’s continued satisfaction on their way to receiving Sentinel’s suite of award-winning services. This is a remote position that may occasionally require travel to our Downers Grove, IL headquarters, or customer sites as needed.

Qualifications CCNA or CCNP preferred.Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.Exceptional customer service skills to drive “time to value” and improve customers’ overall experienceAbility to provide CCNA level route switch and firewall configurationExperience with monitoring SolarWinds OrionExperience with building VPN tunnels and experience with FirewallsAbility to execute configuration changes on customer IT equipment for the purposes of successfully monitoring, reaching and authenticating to the supported devices or systemsAbility to maintain a solid working relationship including collaborative technical activities with peersAbility to multitask and self-prioritize work within a fast-paced IT environmentExcellent writing and verbal communication skills requiredAbility to communicate effectively with customers over the phone and also on live video conferencesThe candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipmentA valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be requiredLegally authorized to work in the US without sponsorshipMust demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
