Onboarding Project Manager

Join Target’s Digital team as a Senior Onboarding Project Manager for Target Plus, Target’s platform for a curated assortment of product from the industry’s best third-party Brands and Sellers (“Partners”). The Partner Onboarding team at Target Plus is responsible for onboarding new partners and helping them ramp their business on the platform, staying consistent with Target Plus’s goal of delivering a high-quality marketplace. On the Target + team you will own the critical early phase of the partner lifecycle by managing a portfolio of partners, and providing coaching and education to help them successfully ramp up their new business. Primary responsibilities of the Sr Onboarding Project Manager are:
1. Independently manage a portfolio of new partners at different stages of their onboarding journey, delivering required training and providing coaching and education to successfully launch on Target.com
2. Drive partner’s progress towards completion of onboarding milestones (including item launch, fulfillment setup and operational readiness) on specific timelines, monitor progress and suggest improvement tactics to drive speed to launch
3. Navigate partner’s success on Target Plus by determining partner’s business goals, building onboarding ramp plans, and effectively transition partners to the New Partner Account Management team post-onboarding
4. Collaborate with multiple teams including Item, Acquisition, New Partner Account Management and Category Management to devise and execute category strategy. This includes assessing Target Plus business goals against current and incoming pipeline, and prioritizing effectively
5. Manage to resolution issues that may arise during the onboarding process, effectively troubleshooting independently and leveraging internal resources to find solutions
ABOUT YOU:
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience in related field required
• 2+ years of experience in retail and/or ecommerce marketplace required, with demonstrated understanding of retail fundamentals
• Experience managing portfolio of external vendors/partners strongly preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills, including effective prioritization, and proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously
• Ownership mindset, results-oriented and bias for action
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with, and influence, partners and effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact with mid-level leaders within and outside of the organization
