Job Description

The Clinical Research Oncology Nurse position in Detroit, MI, involves coordinating and managing oncology clinical trials. The role requires conducting physical and psycho-social assessments, recruiting patients, and ensuring compliance with clinical trial protocols. Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating patient care across multiple departments, providing education on diagnosis and treatment, and managing chemotherapy orders and safety parameters.Conducting physical assessments, monitoring patient status, and managing adverse events.Acting as a liaison between departments to ensure protocol adherence and patient care.Verifying evaluations and procedures, maintaining compliance with regulations, and managing study supplies.Recruiting patients, facilitating clinical testing, and educating staff and patients about clinical trials and treatments.Attending tumor boards, assisting with patient consent, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with the pharmacy team and provider/PI for protocol approval.See patients for outpatient treatments, handle follow-up blood and PK draws, and working with infusion nurses for infusion-related treatments.Required SkillsRegistered Nurse with 2+ years of experience within Oncology nursing, OR 2+ years of experience as a Clinical Research Nurse. Experience as a nurse in other high acuity environments will be considered.Experience with accessing and de-accessing patient ports.Active RN License in State of Michigan in good-standingPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
