Actalent is hiring Oncology Nurses! Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for ongoing patient assessment and enter thorough and accurate documentation in EMR. Ensure appropriate charges are captured by following guidelines for appropriate administration of all treatments. Educate patients and, when appropriate, family about medications, side effects, and planned treatment course. Prioritize incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices from emergent to non-urgent and respond accordingly in an appropriate time frame. Assist with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies when called upon. Recommend purchase of new items as needed and place stock in storage areas in a timely manner. Hard Skills + Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of employment + Oncology experience required (drip management experience preferred if no oncology experience) + Experience in IV infusion/therapy preferred + 1 year of critical care or ER experience + 2 years' experience as an RN + Port accessing & drip titration experience + Current CPR & BLS certifications + Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills + Valid Driver's license, in state of residency, for travel to clinics Soft Skills + Ability to assess patient needs and condition + Strong critical thinking skills + Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Work EnvironmentFast-paced oncology medical office/clinic. Must be available 8am-5pm (shift will either be 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm).
