Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Bel Air, United States. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to cancer patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary oncology team to deliver exceptional patient-centered treatment and support.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care for oncology patientsPrescribe and monitor chemotherapy and other cancer treatments in accordance with established protocolsProvide symptom management and supportive care throughout the cancer treatment processCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient careDocument patient care activities in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systemsEducate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and side effect managementParticipate in tumor boards and care planning meetingsMonitor and evaluate treatment responses and adjust care plans as neededProvide emotional support and resources to patients and families throughout their cancer journeyStay current with oncology research and treatment advancesCompany Description

QualificationsMaster's degree in Nursing (MSN) requiredCurrent Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenseActive Oncology Nurse Practitioner CertificationCurrent Maryland state licensure or eligibility to obtainCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsMinimum of 3-5 years of oncology nursing experienceDemonstrated expertise in cancer treatment protocols and chemotherapy administrationStrong knowledge of pain management and palliative care principlesProficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemsExcellence in clinical assessment and diagnostic skillsStrong interpersonal and communication abilitiesDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamExperience in symptom management and supportive careCommitment to evidence-based practice and continuing educationAdditional Information
