Provides counseling relating to interpersonal, personal and family occurrences and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Principal.Essential Performance Responsibilities + Thorough knowledge of school guidance counseling principles, practices and procedures + General knowledge of community agencies available to serve and assist students + Thorough knowledge of casework methods and procedures + General knowledge of elementary, secondary or special education principles, practices and procedures + Thorough knowledge of school and district rules, regulations and procedures + Good judgment and decision making Qualifications ProfileBachelor's degree with coursework in school counseling, sociology, psychology, or related field and considerable experience working with adolescents, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
