Onshore Wind Energy Leader

As part of an established Renewable Energy team, the Wind Energy Leader role’s primary focus is to lead onshore wind projects and provide technical expertise. With proven vast experience in onshore wind in design, construction, and project management, this role will provide valuable insights to our clients, have a high degree of aptitude to work with other disciplines within the business to further our market presence. Work streams will include owner’s engineering, concept, and detailed design.  

The Opportunity 

Build rapport and networks with internal and external stakeholders. Gain a good understanding of customer needs.  Project Management: meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets in your own area. Represent Arup at internal and external events and you may be responsible for designing and delivering events, activities and projects which impact the business. Responsible for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction and feedback. 

Is this role right for you? 

Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in mechanical /electrical /civil engineering or similar.  Career track record of utility scale wind experience. Established presence within the renewable market and associated industry contacts.  Deep expertise in foundation design would be highly valued. Relevant industry experience in power systems, solar PV, hydrogen, battery energy storage, pumped hydro, lenders technical due diligence, project management, project proposals, within a consulting business environment would be considered advantageous. Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership
