The Clinical Informatics Specialist performs routine department, clinical professions, and system processes support for Bothwell hospital and ambulatory clinics and supports implementation teams designated for these areas.
The Clinical Informatics Specialist reports directly to the Healthcare Informatics Manager.
Responsibilities1. Specific knowledge of hospital and clinic operations to ensure that the Meditech system is designed, tested, and utilized to meet the needs of users.
2. Performs routine healthcare applications support, installation, and maintenance.
3. Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations for application work flow improvements.
4. Works with Applications Specialist and department managers to ensure the Meditech system design and work flow goals are reached to ensure system is implemented and used in a timely manner and operational within all hospital and clinics.
5. Works closely with providers and clinicians in system review, design, development, and testing. Ensures compliance with regulations.
6. Facilitates training sessions and maintains documents. Participates in developing and delivering communications, and training for end-user implementation and optimization, to include voice recognition software.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications1. Education:
a.) Associates of Science or Bachelor of Science preferred.
2. Licensure/Certification:
a.) None required.
3. Work Experience:
a.) 5 years’ experience in Medical Clinics and/or Healthcare operations.
b.) Must have acceptable driving record and valid auto insurance.
