Onsite Support Technician
Description We are seeking a dedicated Onsite Support Technician in Escanaba. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support, ensuring smooth IT operations, and acting as a key representative of our IT department to the business. Key Responsibilities: + Case Management: Receive and handle cases from the relevant support group, ensuring users follow the correct support channels. Act as a promoter and representative of IT to the business. + Prioritization: Prioritize and categorize cases based on the priority matrix. + Onsite Support: Provide onsite support to users when remote control from the service desk is insufficient. Escalate cases to 2nd and 3rd line IT units as needed. + Hardware Management: Order computers, telephones, and accessories for the local IT warehouse and common functions from the standard range. Deliver hardware to users and common functions at each site. + Setup and Installation: Prepare computers, install programs, and set up accessories. + Documentation: Document cases in the knowledge database and case management system for both end users and IT resources. + Service Level Maintenance: Ensure service levels are met at each site as an onsite technician. + Incident Logging: Log incidents and service requests to enable thorough analysis and targeted interventions. + Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records through active record-keeping. + Cost Efficiency: Work cost-effectively to provide consistent service and results across all sites. Actively engage in improvement initiatives. Required Skills: + Active Directory + Intune + Troubleshooting + Windows + MS Office Top Skills: + Active Directory + Intune + Troubleshooting Additional Skills & Qualifications: + Experience in technical support and troubleshooting computers and servers in a network environment. + Ability to empathize with users and provide professional, educational support. + Service-oriented, social, and accommodating. + Stress-resistant, able to make quick decisions, and prioritize effectively in fast-paced, high-load situations. + Knowledge of Active Directory, EntraID, and Intune. + Experience with clients and servers running various versions of Windows. + Proficiency in MS Office. + Familiarity with printers and print management. + Experience with mobile telephony and mobile devices/tablets. + Ability to manage and troubleshoot computers via remote control software. + Experience leading or participating in projects. + Knowledge of the paper industry and production-related IT functions is a plus. + Experience leading or participating in test plans. + Basic IT knowledge. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
