UPMC is looking for an OP Nurse Coordinator to join our Outpatient Adult Autism and Developmental Disorders clinic. This position will work in the Oxford building in Oakland, Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for occasional work from home.
Responsibilities:
· Professional Development: Improve quality of practice and patient care, participate in governance, and support change processes.
· Team Collaboration: Engage fully with the care team, assist other disciplines, and demonstrate leadership.
· Patient Care: Formulate care plans, triage situations, assist physicians, and provide holistic care.
· Relationship Building: Maintain positive relationships, balance work and personal life, and communicate safety hazards.
· Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement efforts, use evidence-based practices, and prepare for regulatory reviews.
· Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate and voice within the practice.
· Skills and Judgment: Exhibit clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
· Communication: Practice solid communication skills and comprehensive documentation.
· Education: Teach patients, families, and new staff, and coordinate staff training.
· Leadership: Support the development of new staff and create an environment of continuous improvement.
