Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Deployment:

Spearhead the design, deployment, and optimization of containerized applications within an OpenShift environment. Handle cluster management, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalable solutions. Configure and manage OpenShift Container Storage (OCS)/OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for stateful workloads and data services across the platform. Set up authentication methods (e.g., LDAP), define roles and permissions using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and create/manage user accounts. Configure and manage networking within the cluster, including service definitions, networking policies, and ensuring applications communicate effectively within and outside the cluster.

Integration & Collaboration:

Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure CI/CD pipelines are optimized for OpenShift deployments. Integrate service mesh solutions; experience with Istio is highly valued. Build and administer the Apache/Confluent Kafka messaging platform. Develop and maintain CI/CD systems using tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Helm.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

Demonstrate Linux/Windows System Administration skills, including operating system installation and maintenance. Provide Level 3 support, diagnosing and rectifying issues within the OpenShift environment. Ensure proper configuration of system monitoring, logging, and ing tools.
