POSITION OVERVIEW

Operator will run internal grinding machines and perform the grinding operations necessary to produce finished parts to specified print tolerances.

JOB DESCRIPTION (Key Responsibilities)

Operates multiple machines simultaneously.  Manually loads units with parts and removes parts from unloading trays.Uses a limited variety of gauges, such as air, mechanical, plug and runout, to inspect parts running on all units.  Will chart SPC data as required.Must be able to read part prints.Gauges a high percentage of finished parts and makes machine adjustments accordingly to maintain specified print tolerances.  Gauging pertains to controlling size, taper, runout, etc.Changes grinding wheels and turns diamond when necessary.Completes all associated clerical reporting.Performs miscellaneous related duties such as material handling and machine lubrication.Keeps machinery and work area in a clean and orderly condition.Follow Ethics and Safety ProgramsAdhere to all Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirement relevant to the positionFollow State and Federal Environmental Compliance ProgramsAdhere to ISO 9100 StandardsJob duties include but are not limited to the above
