The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.

You will work as part of an engineering team of 3 at a Life Science building in Lexington MA. This position requires the Operating Engineer to be on-site. Local market requirements may vary slightly.

Schedule: 7am-3pm Monday through Friday + rotating on-call (1 week on call every 2 weeks)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by any licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance

· Maintain work order system (Building Engines) daily and complete any tenant service requests

· Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks

· Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)

· Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, HVAC controls

· Comply with all safety procedures

· Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

· Other projects and tasks to be assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

· 2+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry

· Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable

· Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)

· Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall

· Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive

· Strong customer service skills
