Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.
Description:
Identifies, coordinates, and collaborates for process improvement opportunities at the care team, care center, and organizational levels.Supports the Director by participating in both clinical and entry level leadership activities to ensure service-oriented, quality, effective, safe continuity of patient care such as unit-based Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QA/PI) initiatives and development of improvement action plan.Acts as a consultant in the development and implementation of the efficient and interdisciplinary patient's plan of care.Supports quality improvement initiatives under the direction of the unit director while assuring consistent delivery in (including direct observation) standards of practice for optimal patient outcomes.Demonstrates effective communication with patient, family, Physicians, Other staff, and Director.Maintains clinical competencies and can provide direct nursing care to patients as needed.Actively participates in nursing research activities within the facility.Collaborates with Staff and Management to support compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies and the Joint Commission.Supports the Director in preparation and justification of annual operating and capital budget requests through collection of unit-based needs and provision of input. The input will be based on physician/nurse dialogues, plans for new, or revision of existing programs, and departmental polices and organizational goals.Requirements:
One year experience.A current license from the Kentucky Board of Nursing as a RN.Bachelor’s Degree required.Benefits:
