Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potenial opportunity for an Operating Room Registered Nurse at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA. 

 

Position Details:

Full-time  Monday -FridaySupportive environment Working with military families 

Position Requirements:

A minimum of 24 months of experience is mandatory in operating room assignments.Experience must include all phases of operating room technique such as preparing operating room units, preparing patients for surgery, and assisting medical officer during surgery; and conducting instrument and equipment sterilization procedures.BLS and ACLS life support certificationsBSN degree preferred

 

Position Duties and Skills:

 

Gather all supplies needed for the operationAssume responsibility for keeping the operating room sterilizedProven experience as an operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniquesSolid understanding of patient safety and precautionsAssesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for all patients including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and the elderly; disabled to include visually and hearing impaired; and individuals of varying ethnic and religious backgrounds to include those who do not speak or understand English.Provides accurate and complete documentation of patient care events and process improvement activities IAW MTF guidelines.Knowledgeable of laboratory test values Administers medications, electrolytes, fluids, blood, and blood products.Adheres to perioperative, infection control and safety policies and procedures.
