Operation Assistant Night Shift + **Location** Richmond, Virginia, United States of America + **Job ID** 0000021628 + **Category** Hourly **Job Description** **Operation Assistant** is part of the production crew, reporting to the supervisor assigned to the shift. This role will contribute to the success of the LEGO Manufacturing Virginia site and the Production Packing area, observing and improving Safety, Quality and operations principles. Also, this role is responsible for maintaining a good work environment of collaboration and teamwork. **What your day will look like:** + Main support to Supervisor, Team Leads and line operators, in charge to remove roadblocks that prevent the area to achieve the goals. + Responsible for promoting and ensuring the integrity and safety of employees through security processes and tools implemented in the organization. + Ensure and maintain the production plan fulfillment, maximizing and optimizing resources and producing in sequence or according to the Production plan. + Hourly tracking and report of the production lines, taking proper actions if the performance of lines is not as expected. Daily tracking of labor efficiency. + Fills in for Production Supervisors during vacations, absence, etc. This includes all paperwork aspects of the job as well (end of shift reports, temp labor reporting, fill reports, attending meetings, communication with manager, etc.) + Assign/coordinate Production employees to jobs in accordance with production schedules. + Provides first line of defense, guidance, troubleshooting and supervision to keep production moving and flowing and meeting production requirements + Comply with ISO 9000 manufacturing and production procedures and ensures that all production operators are following procedures + Provide troubleshooting and assistance as required + Fill-in to operate production equipment as needed. + Support Quality and Safety investigations and incident management, implement and follow up actions ensuring compliance of Safety and Quality standards. + Participate in local projects being the Production representative + Implementation and Execution of 5S, problem solving and all the Continuous Improvement tools on the shopfloor **Are you up for the challenge?** Experience + 2-4 years proven experience in a high-speed Manufacturing/Production environment + 2-4 years' experience in People management, projects management, or teams' management. + Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Skills + Leadership + Work under pressure + Troubleshooting and problem-solving. + Proficiency in problem-solving tools. + Time management effectively and organizational skills. + Use of PC (Microsoft Office) + Teamwork The LEGO Group is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members. + Ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate education.
