Opportunity summary:  As Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC), you will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of operating assets, achieving department objectives for equipment reliability and maintenance budgets, and facilitating sound business decisions regarding the requirements for equipment maintenance versus productivity goals. You will provide support to the Department Superintendent, Production Supervisors, Maintenance and Operation Supervisors, and the Maintenance Planners for the coordination required to maintain and ensure operating reliability. Overall, you will serve as the liaison between maintenance and production to effectively communicate and schedule planned maintenance work orders.

Screen and approve all work orders in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for asset area to ensure job priority and efficient utilization of maintenance resourcesMonitor maintenance schedules to ensure there is no conflict with operation or production schedules Prioritize non-emergency and break-in work order requests to approve and reject, review complete work orders, and produce schedule for the next day/weekServe as the project originator for maintenance capital in asset area, including documentation and troubleshooting maintenance issues Plan and schedule any installation and startup of new equipment to minimize the disruption of normal operationsServe as critical member to the Operations Department team representing the interest of the group in all work activities both internal and external to the mill Partner with E&I and Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors to review work requests to determine feasibility and safety controls for work to be performedFacilitate daily meetings with Maintenance Planners and Maintenance and Operations Managers, reviewing upcoming work requests, weekly scheduling, and outage planning Provide technical support and problem-solving techniques to Operations and MaintenanceSupport and foster safety and environmental compliance

 

What you need to succeed:

High School diploma, G.E.D.Bachelor’s degree preferred5-10 years of experience in Pulp and Paper industry in both maintenance and operationsPossess computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System software (CMMS)Demonstrated technical and mechanical acumen Adept at problem-solving and identifying root cause to implement preventative methods Working knowledge of paper mill equipment, processes, and language used to describe such in this industryAbility to work within a 24/7 mill operations facilityBe a strategic thinker with the confidence to make decisions which impact safety, operations, and productivityStrong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple competing prioritiesStrong communication skills with ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization
