Operation Technologies Platform Developer (MES)

Pay Range: $63,039.34 to $87,428.00 

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

 


 

Kwik Trip's Operations Technologies Team is seeking a platform developer in support of our extensive use of the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) deployed across our modern manufacturing facilities.

 

Our MES Developers work as part of a team with all aspects of the OT stack including MES, automation, ERP, WMS, IHS and other operational technologies as it applies to state-of-the-art, modern manufacturing. MES Developers play an integral role in Kwik Trip's vertical integration model helping to use technology to streamline our food manufacturing by ensuring our products are produced efficiently and of the highest quality.

 

We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated, technology minded person willing to learn how MES helps manage the modern factory in many different areas including quality & food safety, continuous improvement, real time visibility and reporting. Kwik Trip's model driven MES design includes integration into other systems such as ERP and automation.

 

This position will be responsible for continued MES application development and configuration as it applies to many different Kwik Trip manufacturing processes. The MES Developer spends a considerable amount of time working in the SQL DB environment that supports the application.

 

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or equivalent degree from a two year college or technical college in an IT related field.

Basic understanding of SQL database structures.

Reporting experience in applications such as SQL Report Builder and Power BI

Experience developing database driven websites/applications.

Experience working in Windows server environments.

 

Preferred Knowledge:

Knowledge of platform workflows and supporting functionality.

Knowledge of application UI configuration.

Knowledge of platform languages such as Java, C#, XML, HTML, CSS, etc.

Practical experience in application implementation methods including assessment/requirements gathering, design/development, testing, configuration and implementation.

 

Skills & Abilities:

Work well in a team setting.

Understand the importance of change management.

Excellent communication skills.

 

 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours, with occasional weekend hours as needed.
