We are looking for an Operational Chemical Safety Senior Manager to join our team located in our headquarters in Luxembourg.

The Operational Chemical Safety Operations Senior Manager is responsible for designing classification processes that drive safety, inventory allocation, handling, storage, transportation and waste disposal systems logic at Amazon. The Senior Manager strategizes with key Compliance teams and operations staff to develop best-in-class processes and systems, manages and trains a staff tasked with data management, auditing, vendor management, and seeks opportunities to continually improve processes across organizations where Amazon operates (e.g. North America, Europe, India, Asia and Middle East) The successful candidate will also closely work with Amazon Technology, Transportation, Legal, Retail, Fulfilled by Amazon, Fulfillment Centers and Amazon vendors.


Key job responsibilities
As a high-level summary the deliverables are:
·Create chemical classification processes that scale by leveraging technology to keep pace with the industry, Amazon’s business growth and support customer experience tenets across organizations where Amazon operates by;
o Ensuring the daily output review is completed by your team;
o Ensuring the appropriate documentation (e.g. material safety data sheets) is requested to internal stakeholders (Retail and Retail Business Support, Technical Account management teams – support for sellers) and processed in compliance with Amazon’s process and policies, including product set-up and approval: work with category buyers to ensure chemical products are properly set up in our internal systems and that only those products are being sourced that comply with the chemical management program;
o Supporting internal stakeholders requests;
o Auditing catalogue data accuracy and maintenance
• Actively seek cross-regional and partner team coordination opportunities that improve processes and customer experience;
• Support country operational launches;
• Metrics: create metrics to closely monitor the level of service delivered and identify gaps.
