What You’ll Work On
The Operational Excellence (OpEx) Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining components of an Operational Excellence program. The program utilizes Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement across the site.
Facilitate and lead the implementation of OpEx strategiesInfluence, motivate, and train others to use techniques and tools such as Standard Work, Manufacturing Operating System (MOS), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5S+, and Visual ManagementIdentify process improvement opportunities and coordinate actions with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish goalsUnderstand, utilize, and communicate key performance indicators and metrics to drive behavior and improvementsCoordinate, facilitate and manage cross functional projects within the site using Lean Six Sigma/OpEx tools and processesAct as a change agent to lead team members in the engagement and sustainment of a continuous improvement cultureServe as a resource and subject matter expert (SME) regarding OpEx elements and Continuous Improvement initiatives as it relates to projects, process changes, and other improvements Collect and analysis production data focusing on visualizing and identifying trendsLead and support cost improvement projects.Other departmental support duties may also be assignedYou’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degreePrior experience in manufacturingPrevious experience using Lean Six Sigma tools/processes or utilizing the DMAIC method to solve problemsDemonstrated problem solving, project management and leadership skillsExperience in Change Management practicesStrong oral and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, etc.)A self-starter with ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and think independentlyMicrosoft Power BI experiencePreferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
