Operational Excellence Scheduling Leader

Who will you be working with?
Our Operations Excellence Global Materials team partners with Wabtec employees and sites across the Wabtec enterprise. Here you will routinely interact with Wabtec stakeholders to standardize Global Material processes and practices, help solve existing material issues, define strategies, and continue to measure and improve on the metrics to obtain Lean Materials Operation Excellence. 


How will you make a difference? 
The OPEX Scheduling Leader is responsible to develop and continually improve the One Wabtec scheduling standards and to drive top operational excellence within the planning & scheduling organization. This role will be responsible for permeating a lean working culture across the global materials organization. Will drive the global schedulers on a lean journey, meant to establish standards, and continuously improve on those standards through use of lean methodology. The role requires development and strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of scheduling, planning, and SIOP. 

What do we want from you:
•    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
•    Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain / Materials / Purchasing Work experience.
•    In depth Knowledge of Oracle ERP Minimum of 7 years of Master Scheduling & Detailed scheduling.  SIOP, Planning, and other Materials experience is a plus.
•    Minimum of 3 years of Oracle Experience.
•    Strong analytical skills and data driven approach to strategy development.
•    Highly effective leader, who can create a shared vision, energize others, challenge status quo and drive change internally. 
•    Strong customer service mindset with ability to enhance internal customer relationships. 
•    Excellent cross-functional, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

What your typical day look like:
•    Demonstrates strong ERP system knowledge of the Planning & Scheduling Modules.
•    Becomes the Focal Point / Subject Matter Expert of Scheduling for the global materials organization.

Domain Expertise in Demand Management (Forecast Management / Master Scheduling & Auditing, Demand Horizons, Level Loading, etc.).Drives Enterprise Alignment Management for Scheduling (coordinating the creation of mBoms, ensuring synchronization of Master & Production Schedules, communication on financial plans with SIOP Leaders, etc.).Develop, implement and coach heijunka scheduling that allows product lines build and ship in a linear fashion, but also to the current processes’ capabilities.Owns Adherence Internal SISCO to SISCO Scheduling per SISCO Policy (Internal to company from one plant to another).

•    Owns the Scheduling Value Stream maps & leads the continuous improvement through waste (kaizen efforts) elimination journey.
•    Leverages the Shingo Model Philosophy to create a solid network of trust & collaboration environment amongst the Schedulers and OPEX Team.
•    Owns identifying, documenting, and effectively communicating all best practices (processes) to the global scheduling teams and maintains them on an organized central repository that can be accessed by anyone.
•    Works with the Materials Leadership team to continually challenge and improve the One Wabtec Scheduling Standards.
•    Responsible for running & publishing recurring self-assessments vs global standards for all appointed locations under OPEX Materials.
•    Collaborates with global learning organization to develop effective on boarding training programs for all new schedulers & will create advanced training paths for more senior team members within organization.
•    Collaborates with Material Digitization team to bring the most effective productivity tools for schedulers.
•    Responsible for process standardization for all designated sites and assures all sites improve performance on their scheduling metrics over time.
•    Plans, coordinates & Leads VSM and AWOs to educate, learn, problem solve and improve the value stream through Kaizen work during and after the events.


You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between

$77,400.00-$110,300.00

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
