The Opportunity:

Role, includes but is not limited to: task generation, data collection and parsing, file transfer and task tracking, tool testing/validation. You should be a skilled technologist with experience in Windows and Linus OS’, virtualization, networking equipment, storage systems, databases and enterprise security products. Your expertise will be crucial in achieving project milestones and developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. The Systems Engineer in this position supports all technical aspects focused on priority mission requirements. This includes but not limited to conducting technical debriefs, technical operations in support of cyber operations management as necessary to Sponsor’s mission. Officer may also travel in support of operational objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Support infrastructure including: Reconstitute target software and systems (servers and network equipment) and configurations in virtual and physical environments.
• Work with development partners internal and external, on providing operational context to development efforts
• Administer virtual target range: Configure network equipment to accurately represent target, administer small cluster of VMWare ESXi and KVM systems, administer small cluster of production storage technologies.
• Analyze target environment to inform operation actions including but not limited to: Assessment of security products configuration and capabilities, network configurations to determine safe communications paths; support development and improve operational safety, and support developmental and operational tool testing.
• Proactively identify any anomalies and bring them to the attention of the team




Qualifications:

Required: 
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering), with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a relevant technical field to the position.
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, with required polygraph.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and testing of networks leveraging commercial telecommunications technologies.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision with latitude to exercise independent judgment to complete tasks in accordance with established policies, procedures and techniques.
• Proficient in hypervisor technologies such as VMware and VirtualBox; proficient in routing/switching technologies and fundamental principles of networking and routing.
• Proficiency with VPN technologies, specifically Wireguard and OpenVPN, and best practices for implementation
• Expert in Linux systems administration (specifically Debian-based distros).
• Understanding of Linux networks security tools (e.g., Metasplit, netcat, nmap, etc.)
• Experience with running/updating Debian-based repositories.
• Critical and analytical thinking; quickly assess a problem and determine troubleshooting steps
• Proactive and initiative-taking; actively seeking answers



Desired:

• Demonstrated excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Understanding of RF and wireless computer networking.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$85,800 - $180,200
