About the Position
The Operational Technology (OT) Specialist will be responsible for providing technical and cybersecurity services for Ameren Missouri’s Generation fleet. This position will provide operational support of the hardware and software infrastructure that governs the operation and control of Ameren’s Energy Centers.
Key Responsibilities
·Assist Energy Center staff with network maintenance and upkeep. Implement and utilize network management tools to monitor activity on the control system networks. Monitor Operating System and Software patching and ensure security patches are installed. Manage antivirus and whitelisting applications to prevent malicious software from being deployed on critical control systems.Respond to outages or unusual activity to ensure continuous operation of the energy center generating assets. Diagnose connectivity issues and take action to restore normal operation. Respond to emergency call outs as required.Maintain ICS firewalls and network switch configurations. Maintain network segmentation and limit inbound access on critical control system networks. Implement access controls (firewall rules, VLANs, shutdown unused ports) to restrict unintended access.Maintain VSphere virtual environments on the Industrial Control System networks. Provision and deploy virtual machines as required by system owners. Monitor resource utilization and plan for upgrades or expansions as required.Develop and maintain system restoration processes that allow for timely recovery from a catastrophic event. Schedule and maintain regular backups of critical systems and configuration files.Provide technical guidance and design support for capital projects involving the addition, modification, or removal of networked devices. Work with the Project Managers and Design Engineers to develop a network design that accommodates the operation needs of the energy center, complies with all regulatory requirements, and maintains a robust security perimeter.Follow new developments and trends in the industry to maintain professional expertise. Operational Technology Specialist I QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Computer Science, Network Technology, Management Information Systems, or computer related degree from an accredited college or university, OR 60 credit hours toward completion of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or computer related degree from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a degree, one or more years of experience required in any of the following areas; Windows; Windows Server; Cybersecurity; LAN/WAN network development or monitoring, virtualization technologies.
Operational Technology Specialist II Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent computer related degree from an accredited college or university and two or more years of directly relevant experience is required. In lieu of degree, a total of four or more years of directly relevant experience may be considered. Directly relevant experience includes LAN/WAN network development or monitoring, Windows and Windows Server, Cybersecurity, virtualization technologies, IT/digital generation facility support, Software/hardware Asset Management, etc.
Operational Technology Specialist III Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent computer related degree from an accredited college or university and five or more years of directly relevant experience is required. Directly relevant experience includes LAN/WAN network development or monitoring, Windows and Windows Server, Cybersecurity, virtualization technologies, IT/digital generation facility support, etc.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate:
Must possess an excellent customer service attitude, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation Range:
$59,100.00 - $158,900.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant’s credentials.
At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
