Operational Trainer

The Operational Trainer is responsible for training new and existing employees on the applications and workflow in a branch, through their operational knowledge of branch functionality and thorough understanding of IAA Standard business practices. This involves formulating a training plan and working it to its completion. The incumbent will facilitate the integration of new branches by understanding their business practices and integrating them into IAA policies and procedures. The incumbent is the subject matter expert in all salaried and hourly roles within the Branch and is able to effectively train and acclimate incoming hires for success.

3-5 years’ IAA business knowledge and branch experience required Intermediate Proficiency in MS Office Functional experience with RB/IAA Operating systems Collaborate with other trainers, managers, and subject matter experts to design and implement effective training programs and job aids for new and existing employees. Assess employee or branch needs and create learning objectives that align with company goals, best practices. and take into consideration the state of the employee or branch. Partner in User Acceptance Testing to recommend changes by providing feedback and analysis, during development and prior to release, on product and system design changes that will affect the field. Lead and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions on a variety of topics, including but not limited to process improvement, quality control, safety procedures, and customer service. Use a variety of instructional methods, such as lectures, role-playing, simulations, and group exercises. Evaluate employee understanding and knowledge retention through quizzes, tests, and other assessments. Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to help them improve their skills. Keep up to date on industry changes and trends to ensure that the training program is current and relevant. Maintain accurate records of employee training progress and completion. Continuously look for ways to improve the training program and make it more efficient and effective. Analyze workflow within a branch and interact with employees to suggest improvements and assist the field management in implementation, up to and including additional training or hands on assistance with implementation.
