Operations Account Manager, Engineering Administration
**Overview** The Operations Account Manager, Engineering Administration will oversee the engineering administration processes that support corporate engineering operations. This role ensures adherence to established engineering processes, compliance with company policies, and local law and code requirements. Key responsibilities include performing audits, ensuring building engineers follow corporate processes for major building systems, and overseeing preventative maintenance and inspection standards. Additionally, this role will manage and support technology solutions that track, support, and monitor building equipment, ensuring building engineers utilize these technologies to maintain buildings and mitigate risks. The Operations Account Manager, Engineering Administration will oversee engineering administrative staff and building engineer processes to ensure regional consistency. This position also involves managing relationships with consultants and vendors and participating in external networks and educational opportunities through monthly meetings, conferences, and webinars. **Pay:** $75-80K + 10% Bonus The pay listed is the salary rate for this position. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM 2025 Employee Benefits | Staff and Management Team Members (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Staff\_&\_Management\_No%20Date%209.5.24.pdf) **ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** -Process Oversight and Compliance: ● Ensure adherence to established engineering administration processes. ● Monitor compliance with company policies, local laws, and codes. ● Oversee and/or conduct regular audits to verify compliance and process adherence. -Support for Building Engineers: ● Ensure building engineers follow corporate processes for major building systems. ● Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure they are executed effectively. ● Provide guidance and support to Building Engineers on process-related issues. -Technology Management: ● Oversee and support technology solutions that track, support, and monitor building equipment. ● Ensure building engineers utilize technology effectively to maintain buildings and mitigate risks. ● Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to technology solutions. -Staff Supervision: ● Supervise engineering administrative staff and ensure consistency in processes at the regional level. ● Provide training and development opportunities for engineering administrative staff. ● Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff. -Vendor and Consultant Management: ● Manage relationships with existing consultants and vendors. ● Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and consultants. ● Ensure vendors and consultants meet performance and compliance standards. -Reporting and Documentation: ● Prepare and present reports on engineering administration activities and compliance status. ● Maintain accurate records of audits, compliance checks, and process improvements. ● Document and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for engineering administration. -Risk Management: ● Identify potential risks related to building systems and engineering processes. ● Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks. ● Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and adjust as needed. -Continuous Improvement: ● Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes. ● Collaborate with other departments to streamline engineering administration processes. -QUALIFICATIONS: ● 5+ years of prior work experience in corporate or building operations, property management or commercial real estate ● Undergraduate degree in related field (preferred) ● Technical knowledge of building systems, electrical, mechanical, HVAC (preferred) ● Exhibits critical thinking, planning and problem solving ● Extremely organized and detail oriented.
