Salary Range: $115,920.00 - $140,175.00  

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices 

Position Summary

Provides operational leadership and is responsible for the administrative, financial and operational management of the department.

Job Responsibilities Ensures that facilities and equipment are in optimal and proper working condition. Coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs as needed. May perform minor repairs if qualified and as needed. May advise on upgrades for performance enhancements. As needed, assists with the development and implementation of revenue cycle strategies and workflows that will enhance cash collections, expedite account resolution and streamline billing processes. Oversees and/or approves procurement and disbursement/reimbursement activities. Ensures proper internal controls are in place around financial transactions. Resolves any financial issues as needed. May assist in the preparation of the annual budget submission and projections. Monitors levels of quality of service as measured by satisfaction surveys, customer comments and direct observation. Recommends strategies that are responsive to quality of service needs. Coordinates capital projects and renovations, including negotiating with planners, designers and vendors. Monitors the efficient utilization of space and assists with maintaining annual space surveys as needed. If applicable, manages the financial activity of grant portfolios, including pre- and post-award grant management activities. Assists in negotiating new research contracts as needed. Collaborates with investigators to ensure appropriate/timely responses. May collaborate with internal and external marketing entities to promote departmental programs and services. May assist with identifying fundraising prospects and fundraising activities, ensuring institutional policies are properly interpreted, enforced, and maintained. As needed, maintains data/profiles of donor prospects. If applicable, leads the managed care enrollment process for new clinicians joining the department. Education Bachelor's Degree Experience Approximately 4+ years of related experience, preferably in an academic healthcare or research settingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of budgetary and human resources management, principles and practice of health care administration, regulatory + reimbursement requirements, physician practice management and computer programs especially scheduling/billing platforms Demonstrated experience with fundraising and/or marketing activities is highly desired.
