Job Description:

Duties and Accountabilities

Perform Periodic reviews by conducting AML/KYC due diligence on clients in Regional offices within the stipulated deadlinesPerform onboarding of new clients for Asia Pacific Regions, including ad hoc client outreach within the stipulated deadlinesHas a solid understanding of the client onboarding end to end process including the new global regulatory framework, credit, legal, AML/KYC, FATCA, CRS, MIFID and the role of various stakeholders involvedExpediting the ability to trade whilst ensuring all required stakeholders are engaged and risks minimizedEnter/enrich clients' data and upload documentations on TD's Know Your Customer (KYC) systemWork closely with the Sales and Trading desks and potentially interact directly with clients as requiredConduct client outreach via both emails and phone callsLiaise with Regional counterparts to consolidate requirements to avoid multiple touchpoints during client outreachLiaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales and Trading desks, Data Services teams, etc.) on queries/suspension of codes on trading and book of records systemsLiaise with regional Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) teams for escalations / guidanceInvolve in projects for new processes or industry initiatives, and internal / external auditsEnsure knowledge of AML regulations and compliance policies are always current and applied on a regular basisRefer or escalate processing or operational issues as needed based on a solid understanding of the issue, connecting with the appropriate function/partner to facilitate resolution and ensure that service quality is maintainedContribute to business objectives for operational excellence -- identify, suggest and actively participate in improving standards, policies, procedures, and solutionsConduct Business Acceptance Test for KYC system upgrades and patch releasesActively participate in developing, testing and implementing new or enhanced processes and other process improvement initiativesPerform ad-hoc amendments to KYC system in accordance with on-demand requestsPerform ad-hoc name screening for requests received from regulators or enforcement agencies

Attributes:

Diploma/Degree holder1-2 years experience in KYC/CDD, preferably in Wholesale BankingA good level of attention to detail and checking skillsDay to day decisions made without supervision or reviewEffective oral and written communication skillsWork successfully as a member of a team and independentlyAbility to analyze, research, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlinesAbility to handle confidential information with discretionProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including EXCEL, WORD and POWERPOINTStrong problem solving and analytical skillsSelf-motivated and willingness to learnWell versed with the KYC requirements as suggested by major Asia regulators (e.g. MAS & HKMA)Experience in developing solutions using Python, Alteryx, Power Platform, VBA is a plusKnowledge in AML Screening Tools and Sanction programs is a plusAbility to hold conversational Korean/Japanese language is a plus
