Operations Analyst

Pay Range:  

$24 - $26 / hour

Purpose

To compile and analyze insurance policy Premium Finance data, generate reporting on trends and mismatched data, and offer viable solutions for error resolution and efficiencies

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develop solutions for the automation of new operational processes

Evaluate the effectiveness of existing operational processes, offering solutions as needed for improved efficiency

Maintain solutions for accuracy

Develop reports for operational activities

Identify project requirements by talking with business users and analyzing operational procedures

Develop solutions by outlining requirements in a workflow, reviewing system capabilities, analyzing alternative solutions, and developing programs within Microsoft Access/Microsoft Excel, VBA, VBS, SQL, etc.

Maintain developed programs for data integrity and usability

Train business users on developed solutions, including creating training materials

Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree preferred

1+ years of experience in insurance, banking, finance, or consumer loan industries preferred

1 - 3 years of experience developing reports and analyzing data using Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access required

Preferred Skills

Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Edge, and/or Google Chrome

Advanced knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to thrive in a high-paced setting, work under pressure, and meet required deadlines

Strong time management and organizational skills

Attention to detail

Self-starter
