Job Purpose and Impact
The Operations Manager will provide strategic operational oversight for all production and operating processes for primary processing at the Dayton facility. In this role, you will influence a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring a “people-first” focus, while overseeing safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities Ensure employee, food safety, and environmental compliance program standards and goals are implementedAccountable for all internal and external operating and regulatory procedures on employee and food safety including strategic and tactical execution in alignment with corporate environment, health, and safety, food safety, quality and regulatory functions, and government regulationsEstablish and deploy operational priorities for your designated area of the Dayton facilityLead strategic and tactical operations and quality management deliverables to ensure customer, product, and quality standard requirements are met within specificationsLead, direct, and control operating budgets for your designated area of the Dayton facility to achieve medium term outlook financial performance objectives set by the businessEnsure and hold direct reports accountable for meeting and controlling operating expenses and established targetsOversee the overall operational management and implement operational efficiency improvements which may include standardization of plant information manufacturing systems, quality control, safety, production reliability excellence, and maintenance and operators best practicesLead and develop a team, coach, and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actionsOther duties as assignedQualifications Minimum QualificationsRight to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of four years of related work experiencePreferred QualificationsLean manufacturing experienceTwo years of supervisory experienceExperience working in a food and/or poultry processing environment Professional animal auditor certification (PAACO) or experience ensuring animal welfare Experience utilizing SAPPosting Information
