What is the opportunity?

As an Operations Associate III in the Voluntary Corporate Actions team, you will provide analysis, processing, and customer service support for exception-based complex and/or highly specialized Operation’s processes. Incumbent will review, verify, and record data into technology systems supporting department processes. Incumbent will address escalated questions independently seeking assistance from Team Lead or Manager as appropriate following established department procedures.

What will you do?

Provide accurate analysis and processing support for exception-based, complex, and/or highly specialized processes within a specific Operation’s departmentAccurately review, verify, and/or record data into technology supporting department processesUnderstand department procedures and required accountabilities in the area or department in which the incumbent works. Refers to department manuals for instructions and task assignments for the specific roleLiaise and provide customer service support for individuals requiring research, problem resolution, or securing information from other Operation’s departments, RBC Business Units, external customers or industry participantsAddress escalated questions independently; seeking assistance from Team Lead or Manager as appropriate following established department proceduresReduce risk or increase efficiencies by suggesting process changes and system modifications. Participate in testing and implementation of new systems and processes as requiredTrain and act as a resource for other Operation’s team membersPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 2+ year of job-related experienceProficient computer skills in Microsoft-based products including Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; having an ability to demonstrate strong analytical, mathematical, exception-based processing skillsAbility to understand and meet business daily support needs on an ongoing basis and work efficiently and accurately on exception based complex and/or highly specialized processes with minimal supervisionStrong customer service, organizational skills, attention to detail and confidentiality; Demonstrated self-directedness in researching, analyzing, and solving problems

Nice-to-have

4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field1+ year business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience
