Operations Associate Manager, Sanctions COE

About the role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Associate Manager. This job is responsible for activities that support the operational infrastructure, performance, and efficiency.


In this role, you will:

Supervise a team of Operation Specialists responsible for moderately complex transactional and operational tasks such as processing servicing related tasks, identifying problems, improving service levels and develop metric to measure growth and performanceEnsure timely completion, quality and compliance within the operation areaWork independently on moderately complex issues and projectsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to senior managementProvide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced teamMake daily supervisory decisions and resolve moderately complex business issues related to team supervision, work allocation and daily operational tasks under direction of Operations managementLeverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managersLead team to achieve objectivesManage allocation of people and financial resources for OperationsMentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications:

Experience in Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, educationLeadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree holder, preferably business course - Banking, Accounting & Finance, or other related disciplineOver five (5) years of people management experience in Sanctions Screening OperationsAbility to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracy skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentKnowledge and understanding of Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) complianceKnowledge on Message types like SWIFT, FED WIRE, CHIPS, Telex, ISO and IntelliTRACS system an advantageFluent in both verbal and written communication skillsProven management skills with ability to analyze issues and provide solution in a tactful mannerAbility to work independently and provide support on flexible hours/working daysDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsWell organized, proactive, constructive, and capable to motivate teamworkTransition/Process migration experience in a shared service environmentAbility to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environmentKnowledge in transaction management (preferable)Interbank network; Payment network systems; Management of cut-off timesRequired to monitor any wires that are in the queueWork directly with Fircosoft and trust sanctions filterUtilize World Check/Lexis Nexis screening tools to complete any transnational analysis neededComplete any AD HOC screening requestsTransaction workflow (SWIFT and SEPA)Proficiency in computer skills (MS-Office).

Job Expectations:

Able to perform shift work (incl. Night Shifts) and report on PHL public holidays if fall on Mondays to Fridays including Christmas and New Year’s EveAmenable to work full-time onsite, Monday - Friday, Five/NEO, BGC, Taguig CityIn scope - 10 day Required Absence Policy due to Sensitive Position
