Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor works as a member of the Operations team within Epiq's Electronic Discovery division in EMEA. This is a role for someone who already has experience in supervising teams. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and support to a team of specialists, serve as a liaison between Client Services and other teams, whilst also acting as an individual contributor within Operations.
The Supervisor will be expected to spend 50% of his/her time on line management and 50% on client projects.
Shift: 5:00 PM - 1:00AM CET Monday- Friday
Essential Job Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising a team of Operations Analysts [on the evening and night shift] and making sure the workload is managed effectively.Manage a complex inventory of client projects and ensure accurate, timely delivery to clients.Utilise proprietary software applications, 3rd party eDiscovery applications, electronic discovery and data recovery processes.Load, Process and Search client data in many different file formats.Work closely with team members to troubleshoot data issues (prior to escalation to operations senior management and/or IT/Development), research software and/or techniques to solve problems, and carry out complex data analysis tasks.Communicate and collaborate with other company departments.Generate reports from various database platforms for senior management.Supervise, guide and lead team members by acting as a role model, coaching for performance, allocating work, and providing technical guidance and training to all team members.Execute first-line management functions including performance reviews, administration, and new-hire onboarding.Manage, drive and implement department initiatives around planning, documentation, procedures and Continuous Improvement, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and work instructions.Lead and support programs to promote high performance and on-going learning and development to maximize overall Associate and Team-level capability, performance and career growth.Promote the company’s culture and values through leadership-by-example, group interaction, and frequent one-on-one coaching with associates at every level.Requirements for the role include:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or a closely related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience,A minimum of one year in a supervisor level position or industry-related experience, including a solid understanding of the data processing, litigation support and document review processes, is required; experience of collaborating across shifts is desired.Preferred Requirements/Certifications
Hands-on experience with databases, search logic and a foundational understanding of database file structure is required.A solid understanding of all Microsoft Office applications, basic UNIX, Windows, hardware, networking, and delimited files is required; Experience with SQL database and other database applications preferred.Familiarity with the eDiscovery industry – Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), technology, global legal framework and competitive landscape – is strongly preferred.Knowledge of litigation support software, including any of the following: , Relativity, Epiq Discovery, Nuix, Reveal, Everlaw or others is strongly preferred.If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
