Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin Ben's Lake Marina (Outdoor Recreation). This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 96th Force Support Squadron at Eglin AFB Florida. Position is Regular Part-time (RPT) guaranteed 20-34 hours per week and schedule tour of duty may include nights, weekends and holidays. RPT employees receive benefits (Health/Dental Insurance; Life Insurance; 401K & AFNAF Retirement Plan; PTO; SL and Holidays. Responsibilities Provides administrative support of the management, and operational requirements for Outdoor Recreation. Gathers, compiles, monitors, and maintains records pertaining to the Outdoor Recreation administrative activities (paper and electronic). Organizes work schedules provided by supervisors, for meetings, briefings and personnel training and inputs them into the timekeeping system. Provides oversight of the Time Management System "TMX" software. Performs a wide range of time-keeping duties to include inputting schedules into the timekeeping system, running bi-weekly time and attendance reports, and providing manager with time/labor reports as required. Also prepares daily financial reports to include labor costs, sales, supply expenses and other financial information. Orders, maintains and stocks various ODR resale merchandise Receives, logs, and routes incoming mail, maintains necessary suspense controls. Types correspondence, reports, and other materials from rough draft, clean or corrected copy, including statistical and financial data. Composes correspondence from brief verbal or written instructions by the supervisor. Proofreads and edits outgoing correspondence for correctness of format, spelling, grammar, addresses, enclosures, and attachments, etc. Answers incoming telephone calls, makes tentative appointments for supervisor, and arranges staff meetings, as required. Responsible for maintaining all official administrative files in accordance with Air Force regulations and guidance. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible experience in clerical or office work which has provided knowledge of office automation software, correspondence formats, grammar and spelling. Experience must have provided the ability to perform research, select and arrange material, compose correspondence and maintain organized files. Knowledge of the Force Support Squadron organization and its functions is desirable. Must have proficient typing skills. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries is required. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
