Operations Controller (Aerospace)
We are seeking an experienced **Operations Controlle** r to lead cost accounting, audit compliance, and financial analysis within a high-volume manufacturing or aerospace environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a fully compliant Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) system while overseeing inventory management, cost variance analysis, and government contract accounting. **Key Responsibilities** + Apply cost accounting principles and maintain the ERP cost system + Develop and implement cost accounting procedures and methods. + Oversee monthly cycle counts, inventory audits, and cost reduction initiatives. + Analyze material and labor cost variances to evaluate business efficiency. + Ensure compliance with CAS, FAR, and DFARS for government contract accounting. + Prepare and analyze cost proposals, burden rates, and expense budgets. + Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries and inventory reconciliations. + Provide financial insights through margin reports, cost analysis, and profitability studies. + Supervise and guide a Financial Planning & Analysis team of three analysts. **Qualification** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is required. + 7-10 years of cost accounting experience in aerospace or high-volume manufacturing. + Strong understanding of standard and actual costing methodologies. + Extensive experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus contracts. + Knowledge of government audits and regulatory compliance. + Supervisory experience (1-3 years) in financial planning and analysis. **Skills & Abilities** + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in financial reporting, variance analysis, and inventory evaluations. + Ability to present financial data clearly to cross-functional teams. + Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems preferred. + Salary: $155K - $170K **Apply now to join a well-established organization and take the next step in your caree** r!
