Are you a detail-oriented logistics professional with a knack for problem-solving and optimizing supply chain operations? Join our team as an Operations Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in managing third-party logistics (3PL) operations, ensuring seamless transportation coordination, and optimizing carrier efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Manage Load Coverage: Assign internal and external carriers to shipments, ensuring optimal load coverage and minimizing service disruptions.
Monitor & Optimize Transportation Performance: Track real-time logistics, oversee trailer availability, and proactively address any transportation gaps.
Coordinate with 3PL Providers: Work closely with third-party logistics partners to ensure efficient freight movement, meet service level agreements, and maintain cost-effective operations.
Ensure Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Maintain adherence to safety regulations, DOT requirements, and industry standards to reduce operational risks.
Streamline Documentation & Reporting: Handle shipping documents, carrier contracts, and compliance paperwork to maintain operational accuracy.
Enhance Routing & Scheduling: Collaborate with carriers to optimize routes, reduce transit times, and improve on-time delivery performance.
Resolve Transportation Issues: Quickly troubleshoot and resolve delivery challenges, minimizing disruptions in the supply chain.
Drive Process Improvements: Identify inefficiencies in transportation coordination and recommend solutions to enhance service reliability and cost efficiency.
What You’ll Need:
Experience in Logistics & 3PL Coordination: Background in logistics, supply chain, transportation management, or 3PL operations.
Strong Communication & Collaboration: Ability to effectively coordinate between internal teams, external carriers, and 3PL partners.
Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to juggle multiple tasks, resolve issues quickly, and make informed decisions under pressure.
Tech-Savvy: Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, or other logistics software to track and manage shipments.
Attention to Detail & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
