This position supports both HR and Operations in training and onboarding of new hires. This position works with new hire employees by providing a tour of the facility on their first day during new hire orientation, answering any new hire questions and establishing relationships with new hires. In addition, this position would work with operations leaders to maximize the onboarding experience as well complete miscellaneous operations project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Complete daily tours with new hires during orientation class
Track new hire training in excel
Administer, track and evaluate all new hire floor training
Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers and leaders
Ensures all new hires have tools and supplies needed to perform their job
Completes daily inquires via phone, email, mail, or fax
Handles various aspects of New Employee onboarding, including system sign-on and organizing training schedules
Maintains and communicates Staff Phone Lists, org charts, and other Administrative documents.
Maintains and Manages internal departmental websites
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 years of administrative assistant experience in a manufacturing or office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or Administrative Assistant program certificate
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
Excellent verbal communication
Exceptional relationship and team building focus
Good organizational skills
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
