Operations Coordinator
Job Title: Operations Coordinator Job Description Operations experience in the cruise industry or experience in management and fleet movement will have an easy grasp on what our Operations Coordinators do. Quality control through the accurate reporting of data to suppliers – either confirming services or passenger numbers or through accurate information on manifests and emails. Control costs through managing confirmed services. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Additional Skills & Qualifications + One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. + Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. + Mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. + Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. + Proficiency in Database Software, Internet Software, Inventory Software, Project Management Software, Spreadsheet Software, Word Processing Software, Electronic Mail Software, and In-house Reservation Software. + Demonstrable competence in team building, development of objectives and goals, and goal accomplishment. + May require some travel on an as-needed basis. Work Environment You will be working in the Operations department with a team of about 8-12 personnel. You will regularly collaborate with the majority of the team and work closely with the Reservations (Group/FIT) Department to coordinate all land-related requests and activities. The work environment emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, ensuring that all custom and special requests are handled efficiently.
