Job Description
The Associate Operations Coordinator for the Centralized team performs basic operational tasks that enable us to meet the transportation needs of customers and carriers through internal communication. With a sharp focus on data integrity, quality, and efficiency, the individual may perform operational tasks in support of a specific customer, vertical segment, or within a centralized operations center. Specific responsibilities will vary depending on the type of assignment.
ResponsibilitiesWith a focus on quality and efficiency, execute one or more of the following tasks in accordance with office and company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs): providing shipment information, creating orders, activating shipments, building loads, assigning loads, scheduling appointments, tracking and tracing shipments, entering events, and invoicing.Monitor task boards and assigned email accounts to respond to customer and carrier requests.Document events using knowledge gained through SOPs and experience and, when required, follow defined escalation procedures and training.Follow through on customer or carrier requests to ensure satisfaction. Escalate questions or requests when necessary.Validate and ensure the accuracy of load data in systems according to company and customer standards.Complete other duties or responsibilities as assigned.Externally, confirm to the shippers/customers that items in process are being scheduled, reply with carrier info, and relay tracking updates.Essential SkillsHigh School degree or GED equivalentProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and strong internet skillsEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectivelyWork Environment
This is a first shift opportunity with hours typically from 7/8am to 4:30/5pm with some flexibility. Initially, the role requires 5 days a week in the office for the first 3 months, after which it transitions to 4 days in the office.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
