About you and this role:
Serves as an Operations IT/OT global subject matter expert for manufacturing within data management and reporting team. Provides first- and/or second-level management, support, and oversight of a defined set of global processes, procedures, and I/T applications, tools and systems related to data management aligned with manufacturing technology discipline and/or business processes. Leads management, support and oversight at a corporate level for a defined set of data objects aligned to production operation management to enable adoption and use of corporate, best-in-class processes and applications (includes SAP and non-SAP) by global end users across all businesses. Requires advanced skills and in-depth technical expertise across a range of data-related processes, procedures, and tools/systems to support a broad range of complex deliverables. Leads project teams and related activities aligned to the high-level Operations ITOT strategy, including data mining, statistical analyses, data reporting and data optimization as well as data migration, data carveouts, and data archival across one or more businesses, regions, or sites in support of business and corporate merger, acquisition, and divestiture activities.
This role is part of the Operations IT/OT organization which is comprised of architecture, domain and business process experts who facilitate collaboration between function /discipline, business, and other cross-functional experts in the application of corporate level, best-in-class information technology (IT) to enable end-to-end businesses processes and related product and equipment digital threads from an Operations Excellence perspective. The basis of this collaboration is the shared objective of defining, delivering and supporting sustainable IT/OT solutions that provide optimal capability at minimal lifecycle cost to enable safe, reliable, quality, and productive Operations which support best-in-class Employee and Customer Experiences.
Responsibilities / Duties:
Serves as a corporate expert working across all businesses and regions to assure technical expertise and guidance is in place related to data readiness and data management best practices within the area(s) of scope. Leads the strategy for effective and efficient data management and optimization for targeted Operations IT/OT data management solutions (SAP and non-SAP) in support of all businesses.Sets and executes the strategy to ensure support, improvement and standardization of data management and data coding applications and work processes to ensure user needs are met within the Production Operations Management.Leads coordination and optimization of data management and data coding solutions for plants, sites, and businesses to ensure alignment with appropriate master data to optimize accuracy and productivity within business processes. Monitors functional, business, and site-level performance measures related to data accuracy, utilization, and overall management and ensures strategic gap closure activities and other opportunities for improvement are appropriately prioritized and executed. Ensures routine and non-routine support is provided for user issues across all regions and sites. Oversees all training, consulting, support and troubleshooting activities related to data management applications and related work processes within area(s) of scope. Assures resolution of issues, escalating support needs appropriately.Sets and executes the strategy for document and information management - including creation and management of job aids, training materials, and metrics related to IT applications and tools, system functionality, and related work processes.Leads life cycle management and other improvement activities related to optimization and sustainability of data management IT/OT applications within area of scope. Includes support of testing, defect resolution, and implementation activities. Leads and supports stakeholder management and change communication activities as directed within area of scope.Leads the strategy for targeted improvement initiatives related to the Operations IT/OT technical area(s) of focus, including training, document updates, metric updates, and other change management activities. Ensures effective stakeholder management and change communications are provided to key stakeholders and sponsors for all initiatives within the area(s) of scope.Partners with Operations and cross-functional leaders to lead the global strategy for management of end user and/or super user networks to strengthen collaboration and improve overall site/Business Operations IT/OT performance and system effectiveness and efficiency. Coordinates and executes functional and cross-functional training related to the technical area(s) of scope. Assures broad leveraging of best practices and sharing of learning experiences across applicable networks. Assesses impact of key learnings on the Operations IT/OT strategy and identifies opportunities for improvements to the overall most effective technology (MET1) solution to optimize adoption and utilization across sites, businesses, and function.Leads and supports key data aspects of the Operations IT/OT solution within large project and Merger/Acquisition/Divestiture activities, including assuring team deliverables are fulfilled related to data validation, data migration, defect resolution, etc. Leads execution of the data readiness strategy for business and site integration and carve outs relative to the technical area(s) of scope. Partners cross-functionally to evaluate/validate/implement and ensure appropriate gate-keeping and risk mitigation from a MET1 ownership perspective – includes development/assessment of new tools and systems related to data management.Ensures processes and procedures are in place and working well and business process expertise and contracted support are provided to on-site Joint Ventures, 3rd Party / i-Park clients based on established agreements.Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting or related technical field or relevant military experience at an E6 rank/Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher is required.A minimum of 8 years of manufacturing, data analytics and/or I/S-related experience is required. Experienced user of data management tools like PowerBI, BODS, HANA, LSMW, etc.A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
