Allied Universal Janitorial Services is seeking a hands-on, customer-oriented leader who will be responsible for the security, janitorial, and maintenance departments at our clients location by ensuring high service levels and performance. The Operational Director will routinely perform constant reviews and assess the overall needs of the client and property and will make informed recommendations to management. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in security, operations, floor care, maintenance, and payroll while utilizing an effective, collaborative leadership approach to inspire respect and trust among team members!

Salary $ 67,974.00 

Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and security licensing requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Operational 

Manage the daily activities of the Security, Janitorial, and Maintenance departments. Manage the hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, and development of all departments.Ensure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and propertyMeasure department effectiveness through quality inspections and adjust as goals change or are not met.  Schedule contractors for electric, plumbing, HVAC, etc. Purchase, timely re-order, and maintain appropriate and adequate supplies and inventory.Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment; make arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment to avoid service disruptionsSecurityEssential FunctionsSupervise the day to day security operations of an assigned client siteManage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and supportEnsure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and propertyBuild, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client and employeesCoordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client site to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer serviceAdditional ResponsibilitiesEnsure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met.Assure regular communication of issues or program with ClientHandle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.Other management responsibilities as determined by leadershipCommunicate staffing needs via Requisition Form; assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing and hiring quality candidates.Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, MSO training, annual formal performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved (with help from appropriate support employees, as required) and that personnel records are updated and accurate (Change of Status forms, rosters, etc.)Assure communication of policies, company announcements and job openings through a consistently updated READ file at each site.

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed rolesPossess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experienceAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
