We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join our Christchurch, Dorset team!
As an Operations Engineer for our Christchurch location, you will be responsible for filling the gap between Production Engineering and Design Engineers. When technical issues arrive which are beyond what our Production Engineers can deal with, Operation Engineers get involved at a more technical level. Operations Engineers are responsible for solving technical challenges with a minimum disruption to manufacturing or design engineering. This requires broad-based engineering skills, fundamentally electronics, but could also be mechanical.

Your Challenge
Pro-actively react to technical issues, to minimise disruption to production
Produce accurate records of all work undertaken
Update system files and records
Diagnose and fault find a variety on product
What You Bring
Electronics fault-finding and repair to component level
Knowledge of Digital, Analogue and Microcontroller based circuitry
An aptitude for general engineering (e.g. mechanical) and problem solving (but primarily Electronics biased)
A structured, methodical approach
A flexible approach to working - Able to adapt to situations as part of a dynamic team
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook)
A positive, “can-do” attitude
Previous experience in Avionics, Aerospace or other highly regulated industry
Able to write clear, concise engineering reports
