Operations Engineer - Service Enablement
**Position Overview:** Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for an Operations Engineer to join our Service Operations and Deployments group. This position will support the acceleration of physical asset deployments and facilitate maintenance of deployed infrastructure through the enablement of vital support services. This role is on-site in our East Syracuse, NY location. **Responsibilities:** + Conduct trade studies to generate recommendations for service models and solutions to meet operational requirements. Service operations which may require solution provisioning include: 1. Site survey and site acquisition activities for determination of new installation sites 2. Deployment of new hardware to the field 3. Health & Integrity Monitoring of fielded assets 4. Preventative & Correct Maintenance activities 5. Depot operations and asset management + Coordinate with cross-functional team members in manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering, for the implementation of new service processes, solutions, and systems. + Generate technical documentation including work instructions, service manuals, and training materials to be used by internal and external service representatives towards the execution of service activities. + Serve as a bridge between the Engineering Development teams and the Service Operations and Deployment group to develop new capabilities and transition them into operations. + Act as administrator for software tools utilized by the Service Operations and Deployments group. + Represent the Service Operations and Deployments group on our internal Non-Conforming Material Review Board to correct issues detected in fielded assets and prevent recurrence. **What We’re Looking For:** + Experience in service operations of complex, distributed, electronic systems. + Familiarity with a variety of service models and an understanding of their pros and cons. + Technical competency to drive the implementation of new service solutions and systems. New solutions may be a combination of software, hardware, and process based. + Keen ability to detect process bottlenecks and inefficiencies and simplify or optimize for continual improvement. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline + 5+ years of experience, with 2+ years of experience in service operations support + Broad exposure to various engineering disciplines including software, hardware, mechanical, network, and manufacturing + Familiarity with Python programming language and ability to generate basic scripts + Familiarity with Linux operating systems + Experience managing cross-functional projects related to continual process improvement + Experience administrating software tools for service operations + Experience in systemic problem solving and associated techniques and methodologies + Occasional travel up to 10% may be requested to support meeting with external field service representative teams, and observation of field operations for process analysis or vetting of new solutions **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in Engineering or Operations field + Experience in depot or maintenance operations for electronic equipment + RF hardware or telecommunications infrastructure background + Continual improvement certification such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt **Compensation and Benefits:** Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, potential stock options, life insurance, and disability insurance. **Salary Range** : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
