If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Operations and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you! 

 

During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected, and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions.

 

You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international on the job-rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group. We offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI, data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our full electric or autonomous products.

It is with great pride that we look upon our Ghent distribution center, being the biggest DC of the Volvo Group worldwide. It holds spare parts for multiple brands of the Volvo Group, for example Volvo Trucks, Construction Equipment, Volvo Busses, and the marine- and industrial engines.

How will you make an impact?

 

Working on the warehouse for the future, you contribute to the continuous improvement of safety, quality, lead time, cost efficiency, environmental impact, and employee satisfaction.

 

To achieve these goals, a close collaboration with Continuous Improvement teams and cross-functional work over departments is key. Through this, you contribute to the future Warehouse Masterplans. Next to that, you tackle operational problems hands-on, ensuring practical and robust solutions. But most of all, you support operations with the implementation of future logistic projects (lay-outs, flows, warehouse storage...)

 

On a day-to-day basis, you develop production means and processes according to the lean concepts, but you also investigate new technologies, automation and identify what can be applied at CDC Ghent. You know how to consult and analyze data, prepare detailed reports and presentations for different stakeholders on different levels, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
