Operations Intern

Full-time (Summer) 40 Hours, Monday-Friday

Pay: $22/hour

Primary Purpose  

A 10-week internship program providing hands-on experience in a fast-paced distribution center environment, designed for students interested in Distribution Operations Management. Interns will gain exposure to core distribution operations while developing management skills through direct mentorship and real-world problem-solving. Benefits of the assignments will include hands-on training in distribution center operations and management., exposure to real-world leadership challenges, networking opportunities with company leaders, and potential for full-time leadership position after graduation.

Learning Outcomes

Operational Knowledge: Gain hands-on experience in all major warehouse functions, understanding how each contributes to overall supply chain success. Leadership Development: Learn the skills needed to manage a warehouse team, including associate relations, performance management, and conflict resolution. Performance Management: Understand how to track and analyze key warehouse metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Process Improvement: Apply problem-solving techniques to drive operational enhancements and improve warehouse workflows. Professional Communication: Develop confidence in presenting ideas, leading discussions, and engaging with leadership teams. Continuous Improvement: Incorporate LEAN methodologies.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university program, majoring in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Interest in leadership and warehouse operations. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
