Interns will be assigned to a department based on the candidate's background, skill set and interests. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment and learn about the corporate business culture and homebuilding industry through work assignments, structured activities, and other events. Interns that demonstrate outstanding qualities may be invited back for a return internship the following summer or may be considered for full-time positions.

The format for this internship will be either in-office, or on-site depending on the role, meaning the intern will work either in a professional office or on a construction site for the duration of their internship. Relocation and housing will not be provided. In some cases, business travel may be required.
Department Details:
Purchasing: Purchasing is responsible for sourcing all parts, goods, and services by creating strategic supplier partnerships that will ensure the best quality materials and labor for our homes. Purchasing is a fast-paced and exciting work environment where strategic planning and analytical spirit drives our success. Purchasing intern assignments are structured to support sourcing, cost reduction and strategy development which may include analyzing supplier quotes and supporting supplier negotiations.
Starts and Permitting: Interns will assist the Starts and Permitting Coordinators in obtaining Architectural Master Plan approvals, determining Permit and Impact fees for new communities, and the preparation of permit applications. This position will allow the Intern to obtain exposure to the municipal process in multiple jurisdictional environments. It will also demonstrate the starts cadence required to support a successful production homebuilding operation.
